If you are a new Nintendo Wii user, there are a lot of things you might be wondering about. The first and the most obvious things to wonder is why are the Wii games so expensive. That’s because of the increasing quality of graphics, animation and gaming complexities. These games are really expensive and also the discs are copy protected so that you won’t be able to copy them on other discs using your regular CD burning software. But for the benefit of the customers, some companies have managed to make and sell Nintendo Wii game copying software programs. These programs bypass the copy protection and help you make those back ups.

This is how it works. You buy the software and download it on the computer. Make sure you buy a reputed one which comes free of malicious programs. Once you have it downloaded, install it. Insert the original Nintendo Wii disc in the CD or DVD drive and initialize the game copying software program. Once the program starts, it will automatically start reading the game and ask you for a location to save the game. You can go ahead and select the desired location and the saving process will start. This will take some time depending on the size of the game.

After the saving is done, your backup is saved. Now you can burn as many copies of your Nintendo Wii game from the regular CD burning software you have on your computer. Using the above method will save a lot of money from being wasted as you won’t have to buy the same game more than once for minimal damages. Also as long as you are making these copies for your own self, it is absolutely legal. This way you can back up all the Nintendo Wii games that you own and never worry about a game being damaged.

Once the program is installed you can go ahead and place in the original PS3 game disc in the CD or DVD drive. Once the disc is in you can start the program. After initializing and starting up, the program will ask you for the location you want the game to be saved at. You must allocate the location and wait for the game to be copied. In this process, the copy protection program on the original disc will be bypassed and the game will get copies to the aimed location. This takes several minutes depending on the size of the game. After the game is copied to you must replace the game disc in the CD or DVD drive with a blank CD. Select the applicable files and burn the CD. Now this CD also contains all the data, which is required for the CD to authenticate itself as original.

Now you have a copy of the game and you can try it in the console. The copied disc will play just like the original one with equally incredible sound, graphics and gaming fun.

Now that you have understood how easy it is to make copies for your PS3 games you can be rest assured about long continual hours of gaming.

Star Craft 2

After the impressive “Star Craft 1″, who won the 1998 game of the year, Blizzard finally have finished the sequel “Star Craft 2″. The release date has been announced yet, and the it will be in North America for sale on November 3, 2009. It is certainly a awesome game to be waiting for.

Especially with the new improvements Blizzard has managed to upgrade. Star Craft 2 is now embedded with 4d graphics. Gamers will experience an entirely different type of gameplay. Unlike the original series, where each game had three 8-10 mission campaigns, one for each race, each game in the Star Craft II trilogy will have only one, 26-30 mission campaign centered around a single race. Blizzard claims that each part will have enough content to feel like a full game in its own right. The Terran campaign, Wings of Liberty, will place players in a mercenary style campaign, as Terran rebel Jim Raynor performs missions for cash.

The Terrans will be the focus of the first campaign, followed up by Zerg and Protoss races in the expansions. The second release, the Zerg campaign Heart of the Swarm, will have RPG elements. The player will level up Kerrigan throughout the missions. The last expansion, the Protoss campaign Legacy of the Void, the character Zeratul will use diplomacy between Protoss tribes to acquire units and technologies for each mission. Each campaign should span 26-30 missions. Every game in the trilogy will have all races available to play during the skirmish or multiplayer and online modes. The price for Star Craft 2 is currently only at $60 pre-order, a not too expensive price considering the quality of the game.

Black Gold

The argument is as individual as little weight as expected, and puts us in the shoes of a soldier involved in the clash of the Red Star and the China-Soviet Union in the umpteenth re-release of the compact-communist alliance against a Western seeking to address them. The reason for the conflict is the gradual depletion of oil fields in the Middle East, and the fierce struggle between two factions for control of the few surveys that continue to make profits fuel.

The operation of the campaign and multiplayer tour takes us to the stage from one point to another of them, fulfilling the various objectives that we are entrusted. In essence Frontlines is virtually identical to a Battlefield, leaving clearly influences and roots of Kaos Studios. Maps points to capture whether to place explosive charges, gain resources, or take the property of the enemy bases. The campaign, for example, is about a little over 6 hours and is comprised of a number of levels -8-divided into several specific goals each. These targets are usually cut very similar, and may end up conveying a certain feeling of monotony, since no other game modes available only to supply the title.

The campaign is not very neat and it would be inconsistent both in terms of argument as playable. The in principle moderately interesting story is not exploited at all, and some defects in the enemy’s artificial intelligence and the passivity of our colleagues may end up resulting in a very unsatisfactory experience. And is that a lot of Kaos Studios claim that they had to conduct a competent campaign, the truth is that it seems that very few elected-Call of Duty 4, for example, are able to combine a powerful multiplayer mode with a similar Singleplayer terms of quality.

The main attraction is its undisputed Frontlines Multiplayer epic, as is well known, allows the simultaneous presence in PC of up to 50 players simultaneously.

Massive Scale

In the maps for Frontlines to support 50 players must be huge, but the game always looking to maintain his composure in a series of points to focus on fighting locations. Thus the succession of goals which are the patterns of these “hot spots”

Similarly the great spectacle of fire, armored vehicles, helicopters and other paraphernalia will test our connections and dedicated servers that THQ has made available to all users with the intention of experiencing the fewest possible problems of lag.

The weapons arsenal is diverse and presents enough differences between both sides as to recommend the test to find both the army and the type of soldier that specifically suits our style. The radial menu will help us find a comfortable way of the gun you want on the battlefield, up to eight simultaneous, and in terms of control of vehicles it is very intuitive and fast, with the exception of air, something more sophisticated in their management.

Each of the roles we can take on very different battles including heavy weapons, signaling targets, anti-tank specialist, etc-up to three levels of experience, and as we reached we unlock the various special abilities that make us soldiers more effective on the battlefield.

Future Gray

Graphically Frontlines is a product that does not dazzle, nor much less, but the manner that complies with its intention to move to a future dark, gloomy and uprooted. Using Unreal Engine 3.0 and without the need for a night or rainy environments Fuel of War conveys the sensation of something to spare to place these futuristic gray buildings that dot the vast deserts.

The modeling of the characters meets the minimum quality that we seek for a next-gen title, but the animations could have been much more polished. The textures are poor, and the effects are not particularly noteworthy, but the whole is more than acceptable.

Technological issue in the game is more irregular and performance optimization in terms of Pc leaves much to be desired. The frames per second rate is low and the game is very demanding in terms of hardware for what it offers, especially considering what you see on screen is no wonder, “and accuses the title if you have severe slowdowns high options visual representation of the vegetation. Bet for the game partially destructible environments that significantly enriches the fighting, however, the criterion which can be damaged and what not is quite debatable, and often surprises us a solid coverage apparently collapses before the shooting and another in top lighter that resists smoothly.

The sound is a notable point that fulfills its functions in a very good one. The effects of gunfire and explosions sounded fierce timely and powerful in equal parts, the soundtrack fits without shine, and the dubbing is a little lower but not too many lines of dialogue is not revealed as a significant weakness

More or less folks might ask themselves what the Hidden Object Games are. In these games the player is motivated to find hidden pictures or objects. The Character of hidden object games is mostly adventure like, for those who haven’t played them yet. They are amazingly gratifying, I found. Having a adventurous challenge against the computer, free hidden object games are a good way to relax. These games are very popular in the casual game market, and several of them are based on well-known literary characters like Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, and now Nancy Drew.

Time management and hidden object games are the hottest games around at the moment. Because of the high quality of graphic and sound established by the developers in hidden object games, they are very atmospheric. Puzzling, looking for keys to unlock portals, equipment and clues keeps the player busy. To accomplish the story, you will have to solve mind boggling puzzles and find many hidden objects.

Always looking for unknown and strange games, or at the least games that are unlike anything I’ve diddled before, I discovered the Mystery Case Files series from Big Fish Games. In Return to Ravenhearst you will be deeply drawn in the Mystery Case Files. You may not be a fan of the genre, but the atmosphere and the puzzling will keep you up playing to the end. All three Mystery Case Files games are available from Big Fish Games’ web site.

Overall in hidden object games you have to grasp the nettle of investigating more thank you think. Common on many portals, they seem to do better on Big Fish Games.

I’m a huge stickler for genre-definition. Contrary to the state of my desk I prefer my games nicely pigeon holed in specific pockets of genre clarity. But when I started thinking about the definition of military games everything went a bit fuzzy. It all started well, the first thing that came to mind was strategy games. Such as the Total War series and Risk. But then my rational mind said to me, as it often does, surely anything containing a feudal hierarchy should be classed as a military game? Well yes and no, yes they contain aspects of a military but perhaps that doesn’t make it one. Especially not if you turn against the system during the course of the story, that just doesn’t make sense somehow. There is also the idea that a military game originates from the military itself. The American army is well known to have used games as a recruiting tool. This is now into it’s 3rd iteration and I would guess to be hugely successful. Whether it is morally correct to use entertainment as a recruitment tool however? It has never stopped them in the past I suppose!

So there are potentially many games that could come under this heading and it really made me wonder. Especially since, I have to admit, I’ve hardly played any of them! We have strategy such as the Sudden Strike series. You can take control of one of the major forces involved in World War 2. This is real time with a strong emphasis on unit types focusing on their strengths and weaknesses. Then we have Air Combat games such as Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. where environment accuracy appears to be the order of the day. Alternatively if you want to get stuck right into playing soldiers, there are games like the Call of Duty series or Day of Defeat. These allow you play as either a British or German recruit in the thick of the action. Generally these are First Person Shooter games but there are some squad-based games that offer similar action with a different perspective such as the Commandos series.

So there have been many variations of military games created. Even though there are many variations they all have one very similar quality. They all emphasise on realism and historical accuracy (in the case of games based in the past anyway!) Is this why military games are popular? Some obviously depict famous battles or missions from history. Within my experience with these achieving the well-known outcome of these missions is generally made fiendishly hard, especially in strategy games. Or the other reason for their popularity could be the technical accuracy of the weapons and vehicles. The aircraft and submarine games generally have technical accuracy at the top of their lists. Deviation from the right kind of ammo used in weapons, for instance, is often met with outcry from the gaming community.

Could there be a patriotic reason to buy these games? When “Empire: Total War” was released they had a different cover for each country depicting that country’s flag and colours. This certainly suggests that many people buy these games out of patriotic pride. I wonder if people re-enact some of the famous battles in an attempt to achieve the opposite result than what historically happened. Perhaps it’s none of these reasons and people are just playing to experience the history. Or are games in this genre bracket are just good fun to play? With this in mind here are the top 3 military games I think you should have played!

Sudden Strike 2
This objective-based strategy game is something my friends would quite often coax me into playing for long periods of time. It focuses on the technicalities of warfare during the Second World War. This includes elements such as line of sight, unit strengths and weaknesses and how the armies from different countries fought with their own tactics. It does have a fairly steep learning curve, since not being like most modern real time strategy games there is no base building. However you do get re-enforcements if you hold onto objectives for long enough. However the real strength of the game is the environment. Getting the higher ground is often essential and making sure your commanders are using their binoculars when defending helps you to see enemies sooner as they come to attack. If you fancy a bit of WW2 strategy but can’t be bothered with the idea of turn based games then this will be worth your attention!

Day of Defeat
This game is so often underrated. And although it doesn’t offer as much realism as some online fps games it is a heck of a lot of fun. The maps involved are control point based, so you need to get to objectives and hold your ground long enough to capture the point. There is a class based character system so you can choose what type of weapon you have from a selection of rifles and machine guns. This dictates how you play through the map, for instance the rifles are better for the long range stand offs down the streets but the machine gun helps more in the tighter spaces within buildings. The only downside is probably the lack of single-player or co-op mode. A re-enactment of a famous squad mission would have really helped this game’s popularity.

Silent Hunter
This is a submarine simulator series. It really does concentrate on the fine details of tactics used in underwater warfare down to having to switch off everything in order to remain undetected! Things get very tricky in these situations and patience plays a large part! Still, when someone says the phrase “military game” I will always think of the top down, turn based antics of “Panzer General.” Even though I wasn’t as keen on this as the ones mentioned above, it does however embody the tactical-overview feel I associate with this genre.
