Star Craft 2

After the impressive “Star Craft 1″, who won the 1998 game of the year, Blizzard finally have finished the sequel “Star Craft 2″. The release date has been announced yet, and the it will be in North America for sale on November 3, 2009. It is certainly a awesome game to be waiting for.

Especially with the new improvements Blizzard has managed to upgrade. Star Craft 2 is now embedded with 4d graphics. Gamers will experience an entirely different type of gameplay. Unlike the original series, where each game had three 8-10 mission campaigns, one for each race, each game in the Star Craft II trilogy will have only one, 26-30 mission campaign centered around a single race. Blizzard claims that each part will have enough content to feel like a full game in its own right. The Terran campaign, Wings of Liberty, will place players in a mercenary style campaign, as Terran rebel Jim Raynor performs missions for cash.

The Terrans will be the focus of the first campaign, followed up by Zerg and Protoss races in the expansions. The second release, the Zerg campaign Heart of the Swarm, will have RPG elements. The player will level up Kerrigan throughout the missions. The last expansion, the Protoss campaign Legacy of the Void, the character Zeratul will use diplomacy between Protoss tribes to acquire units and technologies for each mission. Each campaign should span 26-30 missions. Every game in the trilogy will have all races available to play during the skirmish or multiplayer and online modes. The price for Star Craft 2 is currently only at $60 pre-order, a not too expensive price considering the quality of the game.
